Gina’s Cantina Heats Up Winter With Chili Cook-Off For Charity
If you think there’s nothing exciting to do between the holidays and the Super Bowl, think again. Gina’s Cantina kept wintertime hot on January 31, when the Millersville restaurant held its second annual chili cook-off for charity. Attendees paid a $20 entry fee to sample the many chili recipes and to vote for their favorite. The winner of best overall chili was Jeff Fiehler with his chocolate mole, black bean and shredded pork chili. The title of most original went to Rob Collins with his Italian sausage and shiner bock chili. The event raised $1,857 to benefit the Friends of Anne Arundel County Animal Control.
